Enrolment Process

Enrolment enquiries are welcome at any time at the College.

The official enrolment period, particularly for students moving from Year 6 to Year 7 takes place in April/May each year for enrolment in the following year. At that time, the College organises Open Days, tours and Information sessions for prospective families looking to enrol their child in high school.

As a Catholic Systemic school of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, the College follows the Catholic Education Office’s Enrolment Policy, a summary of which is contained in the Enrolment Information Pack on the Catholic Education website:

Following receipt of enrolment applications for Year 7 of the following year, all of the Catholic ACT secondary schools work together with the Catholic Education Office to ensure that a maximum number of places in a Catholic secondary school can be offered to families seeking enrolment.

Once the family have accepted a place for their child, a program of induction begins. This includes a further Information Evening including students interacting with each other and current students in their House, a family interview with the House Coordinator to begin the “getting to know you” process and an induction morning towards the end of the year. For students with special needs, more extensive induction processes are negotiated according to need.
